Joe is the perfect choice for a weight-loss personal trainer because he is an expert in tailoring fun, effective programs to each individual. Together with each client, he works out diets and meal plans as well as exercise programs that people enjoy and stick to.
If it's fun, you'll do it! I use a holistic approach that addresses flexibility, balance, core, coordination, strength, and the most effective, cutting-edge methods tailored to your individual needs and goals.
My greatest satisfaction in life is being of service and helping people. When I found this out about myself, my life changed.
When I was a little kid, I struggled with crippling asthma, allergies and self confidence issues. I overcame these through fitness and an overall program of health and well-being. I started boxing when I was 12 and weight training when I was 13. A fun and exciting world opened up for me and I began my life-long quest to keep learning the newest and best science and methods of fitness.
I became passionate about physical fitness to help loved ones with a history of diabetes, heart disease, cancer, and dementia - all of which are preventable and treatable through my program of diet and exercise.
My clients and I always have fun and enjoy working together. Fitness can be fun for everyone - the trick is how I tailor a special program for each unique individual. Clients stay with me for years because I bring results like no one else.
Keep an open mind and be consistent. You will surprise yourself with how much you can do, and you can have results beyond your wildest dreams.
I began training with Joe after the birth of my twins, and we are still going strong 9 years later! Joe has been pivotal in helping me set realistic, yet challenging, goals - for strength / muscle toning and weight loss. Working with him twice a week keeps my mind and body focused. I started with Joe initially because I’d developed osteopenia (a precursor to osteoporosis). I was on weekly medicines which were difficult to tolerate. With Joe’s weight training, we’ve reversed the osteopenia and eliminated the medication. My bones are strong and I feel strong too!
In the 9 years I have worked with Joe, I have transformed from a slightly soft and flabby former athlete into someone who is regularly assumed to be at least 10 years younger than I am. Eight months into training with Joe, a friend asked me if I had "had a lot of work done." No, but I had done a lot of work! Joe is gifted at knowing how to tailor sessions for each of his clients to motivate, inspire, and get results. In many ways, I am healthier and in better shape than any time in my life.
I thought real fitness was over for me now that I was working and done with high school sports. I didn't realize that my feelings of depression and lower motivation in all aspects of my life could be fixed by working with Joe. He met me right where I was in terms of ability and made fitness fun and achievable again. I have a new optimism and feel better about myself than ever before thanks to Joe.
